I have decided to take the SCJP 310-055 exam - Sun Certified Java Programmer.
It is relatively expensive, 200+ for a go. If I fail, I have to repay the 200+ for a retest.
There are several things that are tested and not taught in SP, eg. Threads(we will be learning a little in DSAL), the basic
java and
javac commands and a whole lot of others.
I bought a Study Guide for studying, using it to tell me what I need to study for the exam. For topics such as Threads which I have not yet learn, I need to go back to my Java Java Java (tm) book or refer to
some ebooks.
Hopefully I can pass on the first try, since it would be expensive to retake it.
